Many apologies for last months’ confusion about the date of the MDCFUG Lunch. It seems there is an annual holiday, something called Memorial Day, that the United States Government decided should be held on the day I originally planned lunch. The nerve! I have done days and days of research that no such holiday will interfere with this month’s lunch being held at 1:30 pm on Monday, June 30th, that is unless you celebrate Congo’s 1960 Independence from Belgium, or the 55 year anniversary of the first Chevrolet Corvette rolling off assembly line in Flint, Michigan. I digress.
Lunch will be held again at Potbelly’s, located at 1701 Pennsylvania Ave, NW. It has heaps of tasty sandwiches for a really low price, so low you might want to get two. To get there via metro, get off on the Farragut West Metro stop on the Blue/Orange Line and walk south on 17th. The restaurant will be on your right, and I’ll be inside with a sign to let you know you’re in the right place.
Like our monthly MDCFUG meetings at TeraTech’s Rockville headquarters, lunch is a great way to connect with other people working in ColdFusion and discuss related issues in an informal setting. Also like our monthly MDCFUG meetings, the MDCFUG lunch will be completely free, with exception to the price of your own food.
If you are interested in having a lunch, but are not close to the location we chose, please let us know. All questions, comments, concerns and suggestions should likewise be directed to Matt Weiss, Matt (at) teratech.com. Hope to see you all there!
